Standard First Aid

Service Description

Standard First Aid is the most common course required by workplaces and school programs in Ontario. This course includes CPR Level C; where you will practice performing chest compresions on Adult & Child manikins. You will also learn how to respond during major medical emergencies such as Choking, Seizure, Stroke, Heart Attack, Diabetes, Burns, Concussions, and Broken Bones. A professional instructor will cover a variety of practical skills such as administering an EpiPen, applying a tourniquet, and using an AED machine. Standard First Aid is a more in-depth, comprehensive course compared to Emergency First Aid. Please bring ID (drivers licence or health card), a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not be able to attend the class. After completing the in-person class, you will need to write a multiple choice exam before being issued a certificate. Certification is valid for 3 years from the Lifesaving Society (WSIB Approved).
